What is wrong with Norwex?

I chose to leave Norwex consultancy quietly recently.  I love Norwex products, and began selling and representing them a number of years ago.  There were changes happening, however, and it appears they are still.  The business model did not work for me, and I was hoping to just acknowledge that and move on.  And then today I received my most recent order from Norwex.  I ordered my usual Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent which I had sold a number of recently to some loyal customers.  They were quietly backing away and I couldn't understand why.  Now I know:  Price has made all the difference.

Recently, Norwex products underwent a face lift with respect to branding.  You see from the picture the before and after shot of Ultra Power Plus Laundry Detergent (which is absolutely amazing, by the way!) that the packaging has changed.   The new package is an improvement, but the shiny new flower comes at a significant price!!!!  Under the new pricing structure, the old 2kg bag of detergent should now cost $42!

What's wrong with Norwex Products?  Nothing - they are amazing.  The Prices?  Not so much.

It's time to switch, folks.

Great post!

As a cloth diapering mom (and an ex-Norwex Consultant), I do a LOT of laundry and I've had many people ask me if they should try the Norwex detergent. Even at the old price/size, I shook my head no.

Regardless of whether you're washing loads of diapers or just everyday laundry, there are a MULTITUDE of "no-filler" detergents out there at reasonable prices. They all boast great cleaning power with only a teaspoon (or tablespoon - depending on your washer type) of detergent.

The other important thing to remember about the Norwex detergent is that you've got to add shipping fees onto that price as well.

Looking forward to reading more here!

Thanks for the tip, cleaninup! Care to share a few of your favourite 'no-filler' detergents? I'm eager as a CURRENT cloth diapering parent!!! (with four kids, our laundry machines rarely get a break!!!)
